I acquired this slide decades ago, and unfortunately have no information on location or photographer. Perhaps Western Pacific fans can offer a location.

BNSF 4208 races past a Union Pacific ballast train in the hole at Craig. The ballast train was not here to work, rather they are being held due to congestion around Binney Junction in Marysville.
